This site is dedicated to all those who were victims of the Holocaust. Through music, we can hear their voices; voices that were silenced. It is hoped that flutists will begin to add this music to their repertoire, and share the stories of these composers who could not tell it themselves.

 

This music on this site is divided into three sections:

 

Music by composers who were affected directly by the Holocaust, found under "Composers"

 

Music by other composers who were affected by World War II (many were prisoners of war, went into hiding, or interred in camps operated by countries other than Germany), found under "Other Composers"

 

Music in response to the Holocaust

 

This will be an ongoing project. I currently have approximately 200 composers to add, as well as compiling a list of all their compositions that include flute.
